Austin Academy - Sixth Grade Supply List

2010 - 2011

·          1 assignment spiral (purchased through school @ $5)

·          1 Black Marble composition book (100 count)

·          1 package ball point pens (2 red, 2 blue, 2 green, and 2 black---please, no gel pens)

·          1 package of paper towels (science)

·          1 package thin markers (8 count)

·          1 pink eraser

·          1 pair of AO Safety Chemical/Splash Safety Goggles (purchase at home improvement store)

(Goggles purchased in elementary school are fine, as long as they meet requirements dictated by the

Texas Hazard Communication Act-goggles must touch face at all points, i.e. no glasses)

·          2 boxes of tissues (homeroom)

·          2 glue sticks

·          2 packages map pencils (8 count)

·          2 packages index cards (3X5 lined)

·          2 three-subject  spirals for English and science

·          1  70-count red spiral for math

·          17 folders with brads and pockets  (3~ELA; 6~Science; and 8~Social Studies)

·          Highlighters (5 different colors)

·          2 -Pencil bags / full size (nylon is recommended)

·          Reinforcers for notebook paper

·          Ruler (including metric units)

·          Scissors

·          Supply of #2 pencils

·          Supply of wide ruled notebook paper (200 count)

·          1 hand-held pencil sharpener

·          2 packages of dividers

·          1 protractor

·          1 binder (3-ring and 2 inch)

·          SUGGESTED:  USB Flash drive (Minimum storage: 2 GB)

Notes on Supplies

Ø  Great care is given to the supply list in 6^th grade and the materials listed.  Unless a subject area requests an item,

it is not placed on the list.

Ø  Please label all items.

Ø  In order to be as successful as possible for each and every class, students should come to class prepared every

class period.  As supplies become low or lost, students must replace them as soon  as possible.
